Indie Brand Discovery : Lois Cosmetics

I found Lois Cosmetics through her twitter and through the pandemic I’ve really wanted to support smaller businesses. I chose the Rose Metal palette because I knew I’d use it more than the colourful Gone Rouge palette (which is also beautiful) as I gravitate to warm pink tones no matter how many times I try cool toned looks.

The matte and shimmer formulas are both soft, creamy and extremely pigmented. They’re honestly up there with my Pat McGrath palettes in terms of quality and blend-ability. There’s no fall-out with the mattes and very, very little with the shimmers. The colour story is a bit of me and I’ve gotten use out of every single shade so far because the palette is easy to use and versatile.

I also tried out a couple of her brushes and good lord they’re incredible. I’ve converted to brushes from using my sponge because they work so well. I got the foundation and the under eye buffer brush which are incredibly soft and not a single stand has come out yet. They apply and blend out cream and liquid products quickly and without streaks.

I’m very excited about this brand and I know I’m going to get the Gone Rouge palette now I know how incredible the formula is. There are also some other products of there’s that I’m going to try such as their liquid shadows – as soon as I can go out and have somehwere to wear them.

If you’re wanting a new palette to treat yourself to for getting through a pandemic I would 100% recomend this. I almsot forgot to mention how great value the palettes are, they’re only £19.99!

Stay safe
