April’s Birchbox, The Best Yet?

This month Birchbox teamed up with Cath Kidston to celebrate their 25th Anniversary and when I found out I couldn’t have been more excited. I adore Cath Kidston’s products and their floral patterns are beautiful. This month’s box is the most beautiful yet, with a unique floral rose pattern. It’s definitely the most girly box yet and I was so excited to see what goodies came with it!

Marcelle, BB Cream Golden Glow Illuminator (RRP £25.50)

I usually wear The Body Shop’s BB cream daily instead of foundation because it feels a lot lighter for everyday use, so I liked trying this new one. At first, I thought it would be far too dark for me as it came out about five shades darker, but the product melted into my skin and made it look so healthy and glowy. Right now when I’m under the stress of uni, anything that makes me look half-human is a god send. This is one product I’m really considering getting in full-size.

Whish, Shave Crave Acai and Grapefruit Shaving Cream (RRP £14.80)

Is there really much you can say about a shaving cream? It smelt quite nice and didn’t make my skin burn. Would I recommend it above any other? No because it did nothing better than its much cheaper alternatives.

ModelCo, Baked Blush (Shade Moonshine) (RRP £24)

Birchbox has sent me a few ModelCo products and I’ve liked them all so I was expecting to like this too. It’s a lot smaller than what I was expecting but it’s a good travel size. You got to choose which shade you wanted but they originally called this product a highlighter and I definitely wouldn’t call it a blush. I used it as a highlight because this isn’t a shade I’d ever use as a blush, it’s far too golden for that. It gives a nice glow but I have much better highlighters that cost a fraction of the price for much better pay-off.

Beautaniq Beauty, Fill+Tame Brow Gel (Brunette) (RRP £8.60)

I love a gel to keep my unruly brows in place and I loved this. The colour matched perfectly, it didn’t clump or make my brows feel wet and my brows didn’t budge through the day. I couldn’t ask for more from a brow gel. This came full-sized but when it runs out I’ll be re-purchasing.

Cath Kidston, Hand Cream (RRP £4)

I already have Cath Kidston hand creams so I know they’re wonderful, but this one’s packaging matched the box and it’s so pretty. The smell is beautiful, it refreshes dry hands and it’s the perfect size to pop in your bag.

This is by-far the most successful box I’ve received so far. There isn’t one product I disliked and it’s the first one where I’m really considering purchasing their full-sized products. I’m still just in love with how beautiful the box itself is, i’m going to have to find a way of displaying it other than just stacking it up with the rest. I don’t think they can top this box, but I’m excited to see them try next month.

Have you got this months Birchbox? Let me know what you thought of it!
